How COVID- 19 unmasked Rowley’s vaccinators in Political games butt-naked under their Setting Sun

Yes, many were downright appalled at how Keith Rowley had been obviously “set up” by the handlers of an enthusiastic Indian woman who enticingly protruded her rear end into the TT PM’s tool box in San Fernando  Carnival Tuesday 2015  for what must have been a fleetingly most enjoyable scandalous front page photo opportunity.

The Jamaica Observer took great delight in spreading the story.

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (Trinidad Express) – Photographs of People’s National Movement (PNM) political leader Dr Keith Rowley chipping along the road with a woman on Carnival Tuesday, was the topic of discussion on social media sites on Wednesday.
Anti-PNM activists called on Rowley to explain why an aspiring prime minister would be seen with a woman other than his wife, Sharon.
Rowley played mas with in San Fernando with Ivan Kallicharan’s band Bazodee. He was among revellers in the section ‘Landslide’.
Rowley was captured by Express photographer Trevor Watson, dancing with an unidentified woman as he paraded through the streets of San Fernando.
But the photographs, posted on social media site Facebook, angered many who complained that the PNM leader had stained his character ahead of a general election.
The criticisms, however, were countered by those who believed that Rowley had done nothing wrong.
Rowley declined to comment when contacted by the Express on Wednesday

On the other hand, the discerning few who’ve been following the web of trickery being weaved by the Opposition United National Congress (UNC) party,  were not surprised at yet another example of the extreme measures which these chronic detractors can employ in order to fulfill their mission of bringing down this country’s duly elected People’s National Movement (PNM) government of Trinidad and Tobago once and for all.

The San Fernando event stirred up memories of a similarly embarrassing moment when  Rowley and wife  Sharon turned up at the Divali Nagar site a few years ago as duly invited guests, proudly wearing outfits appropriate to the occasion and very eager as Opposition Leader to participate in the largest religious ceremony of the nation’s Hindus.

Lo and behold!  The most outstanding black couple in the massive crowd were shocked at the back-hand slaps from the Hindu elite, starting with former Prime Minister Kamla  Persad-Bissessar who tauntingly shouted out “Kurta?” in a sarcastic jibe at the same man who, at other times, she had publicly described as an “Oreo” and a “Blank…black man”.

In this extended COVID 119 pandemic where, according to Shakespeare “Judgement, thou hath fed to brutish beasts

And men have lost their reason” (Julius Caesar),

many people have understandably lost their way and many others are losing a hold on their minds

While “politics has a morality of its own”, as was said by former Prime Minister Basdeo Panday, it is the lack of morality – as displayed openly by the UNC- which threatens to bring down Trinidad and Tobago as a people, that is most frightening even in the abundance of fresh water in which Sweet T+T swims.

Even so, it would be most unfair to play the blame game of UNC victimization against  PNM at this particular time..

We must never forget to check the political archives and recall how the PNM  and others savaged the little Indian woman from Debe as she bravely bore male battering rams from all gentlemanly projections while climbing her ladder of success to become Prime Minister of Sweet T+T from 2005-20010.

From Basdeo Panday to Jack Warner to Keith Christopher Rowley, Kamla Persad-Bissessar was beaten up like a female Good Friday Judas for all the not-good, bad and ugly weaknesses she exposed during her time in office, courtesy these macho men of politics.

If it was not her alleged drunken displays of self-relief at a fountain in India

( stink-mouth Jack said so) and being reportedly not sober enough to attend some cabinet meetings, much less read the notes, then it was the sister she carried on trips as a nurse or the helicopter she disturbed the neighbours with.

So let’s call a spade a spade and acknowledge that both parties have been stoking fires in this dog fight in and out of Parliament where who’s not dead is badly wounded, as law of the street says.

Which brings us to the blowing in of a breath of fresh air in the form of Bhoe Tewarie, a former Tapia House product turned    UNC Cabinet Minister who has now emerged as the host of  a 2-hour morning program named “A Brighter Morning with Bhoe”.

Much to the surprise of most other media houses, Bhoe was able to engage the nation’s Prime Minister in a dignified and enlightening scoop on Friday August 27, using the state-owned TTT as a feed from the a new station called Multi-Cultural Television.

So what’s the significance of this little event?

We want to humbly submit that it speaks volumes about our possibilities for a greatness which eludes us every moment of the day as we insist on keeping obsessed with petty matters such as ethnic twaddle, criticisms of the system (which seems to be running as well as most others), and destructive mackoing –  an outstanding feature of our tear-down culture.

We life in a world of such great contradictions that, even while we as a people remain enveloped in petty issues, Natasha Vita-More of the Graduate University of Advanced Technology is working toward producing a human by Artificial Intelligence in 2025, the year when our next all-important general election is due.

Further, no one field of expertise can solve the riddle of our future human. The future must be contemplated and explored through a transdisciplinary approach and toward the practice of open ended evolution. In weaving these methods together, it is apparent that the concept of designing a future human is not only plausible, but will be in high demand around the year 2025.

The appeal of human 2.0’s regenerative existence will increase exponentially as substantial and reliable methods, tools, and products become available, and as the price for augmentations develop at ever-lower costs to society worldwide.

Ray Kurzweil has made a similar prediction.

Futurist and inventor Ray Kurzweil predicts humans are going to develop emotions and characteristics of higher complexity as a result of connecting their brains to computers.

“We’re going to be funnier. We’re going to be sexier. We’re going to be better at expressing loving sentiment,” Kurzweil said at a recent discussion at Singularity University. He is involved in developing artificial intelligence as a director of engineering at Google but was not speaking on behalf of the company.

Kurzweil predicts that in the 2030s, human brains will be able to connect to the cloud, allowing us to send emails and photos directly to the brain and to back up our thoughts and memories. This will be possible, he says, via nanobots — tiny robots from DNA strands — swimming around in the capillaries of our brain.

From an article by Kathleen Miles in the Huffington Post, October 26, 2016

That’s why the photo of the young lady with Rowley, perhaps deliberately, did not show Sharon dancing right next to him as they usually do on Carnival day.

It’s the stuff that brings down nations and, ironically, its being promoted by those who have benefitted the most from the largesse of the PNM  which pampers citizens to the hilt in the drive to produce a nation that is educated from infancy to university and where some children are even fed in schools, not checking the books and uniforms .

In response to a question from Tewarie, Rowley hit the nail on the head when he said in very solemn tones that Trinidad and Tobago was among the more comfortable places in the world to live in, despite our areas of weakness.

It is therefore cause for both worry and wonder that many people do not appreciate it.

As Sniper  sang:

Trinidad is  my land

And of it I am proud and glad

But I can’t understand

Why some people does talk it bad

As we celebrate our 59th birthday, perhaps there are many key lessons to be learnt by us as a people who are so smart that we often end up outsmarting ourselves.

Or maybe, as the village money lender said to his delinquent customer who was protesting at the way he had come directly on the man’s public service job with two hench men to vociferously  demand his pound of flesh:

Your own flea bite you!
